About this plugin

Deprecation Notice: Auto Layout V4 with Absolute Positioning covers most, if not all, of the use-cases of this plugin. I recommend using that instead. This plugin will exist as is to avoid disrupting workflows, but future updates are unlikely.Easily create, convert or wrap layers in zero frames.Add zero frame: Add a zero frame to selected frames and auto layouts, or if nothing is selected, the canvas.Convert to zero frame: Convert selected frames and auto layouts to zero frames while retaining their positioning properties.Wrap in zero frame: Wrap selected layers in a zero frame. What and Why?A zero frame is a frame with either zero height or zero width. It occupies no space on the canvas but can position layers within in.Zero frames are often used to add layers to auto layouts with absolute positioning i.e. they are not affected by the stacking order of other layers in the auto layout. Some novel uses of zero frames are detailed in this great talk from Figma Config 2021 - Pushing Figma to its limits with Chudo, Andrei, Gleb, Vitalii, Shuaiqi.Open SourceZero Frame is open source and contributions are welcome.
