Position your designs among the greatest works from the Rijksmuseum

Description

Sometimes you just want to get some inspiration and what's better than going to the museum? Well, letting the museum come to you! With this plugin you can view some of the masterpieces in the Rijksmuseum, in Amsterdam, right inside your design tools. So if you're just in need of some inspiration or if you think your designs belong in the museum, run the plugin and import some art!

How does it work?

Using the filters, you'll do a request to the RijksData API for an artwork. In this API, the artwork is cut up into rectangular tiles with a fixed size. These tiles are then stitched together in your figma/figjam file and together they create a representation of the actual artwork.

A higher quality setting in the UI means the artwork is cut up into more (high quality) tiles and creates a larger artwork.

2. Free-form text search, to find a specific artwork or artist
3. Quality select (higher quality = more tiles)
4. Filter on 'on display in museum'
5. Show / Hide caption
6. Show / Hide frame

Known issues

As the plugin currently generates an image for every tile, the plugin can use quite a bit of memory. If the plugin suddenly doesn't work, check the console to see if this is the case and/or restart the figma file to reset.
