Penpot Exporter

About this plugin

This plugin can convert a Figma file into a Penpot compatible format. This will generate a .zip file that you can import into Penpot. The plugin is Open Source, just like Penpot, and you can see its development in our Github and see its Roadmap.

What can this plugin currently import?

Most of the Figma features supported on Penpot are already being exported by the plugin:

1. Basic shapes (Rectangles, Ellipses, Stars and Polygons)
2. Vectors, Lines and Arrows
3. Frames and Sections (Boards in Penpot)
4. Groups and Boolean groups
5. Masks
6. Texts (you can upload your own fonts too)
7. All basic shapes properties (fills, visibility, strokes, corner radius, shadows, rotations, effects, etc...)
8. Components and Components Sets
9. Component instances
10. Auto Layouts
11. Color and Typography libraries

Exportation time

Please note that the exportation time may vary depending on the size of the file and the specs of your computer. Larger files may take a bit longer to process. So, why not take a well deserved coffee break while your file gets ready to be enjoyed in Penpot? ☕ We are continuously optimizing the plugin to ensure a smooth and efficient experience. For the best experience we recommend using the Figma Desktop App to do the export of large files.
