Configuring layers

Select a date or time format from the list of options. The date/time format can then be added to the page as a new text layer or, with a valid selection, assigned to an existing text layer. All formatted text layers can be modified or updated at any time.

Starting the clock will result in all formatted time and date layers to update in real time, at one second intervals. Stopping the clock or closing the plugin will prevent any further updates.

Prototypes and presentations

Displaying live time and date information in a prototype or presentation requires two instances of your document to be open - a common method is using a combination of the Figma Windows/Mac application and a web browser. One instance is used to control the plugin and update the live time and date information, the other is used to display the prototype or presentation.
