About this plugin

⚠️ Deprecation notice: This plugin will be discontinued in November 2025. With improvements to Maze's native Figma import functionality, this plugin is no longer needed. Use the standard import process within Maze instead. View import instructions.

The Maze plugin allows you to easily import large and complex Figma files into Maze to run usability tests. The plugin is optimized for importing large files in Maze and can handle files that were previously not importable through the traditional import due to their size.

To import a file on Maze through the Maze plugin:

1. Install the Maze plugin in Figma.

2. Go to Maze to start.

3. Create a new maze and add a Prototype test block.

4. Click on Add prototype.

5. Click on “Try it out” under the “Maze plugin for Figma”box. If you don’t see this option, it means you are not part of the beta testing cohort.

6. Click on “Copy plugin link”.

7. Head to Figma and open the Maze plugin.

8. Paste the Plugin link you just copied in the box.

9. Select the flows you wish to import.

10. The prototype will be loaded into maze and you will get a confirmation of when the import is complete in the Figma plugin.

11. Once import is complete head back to Maze to set up your paths: from this point on, you can proceed normally in setting up your usability test.
