About this plugin
An always-free plugin inspired by Mike LaJoie — a seasoned icon design professional and hence the similar sounding name of the plugin — to streamline the process of creating and exporting Windows icons directly from Figma.
✨ Features
- Lossless compression to achieve extremely small file sizes!
- An optional pro template you can use to design your icon for all common frame sizes that make up a well-designed icon. For example, this allows you to really "push those pixels" at the small frame sizes like 16×16.
- Export any frame(s) as icons — even non-standard sizes.
- A responsive plugin UI that updates in real-time as you select the groups and frames you wish to export. No need to reload the plugin.
📖 Instructions
- Select layers in Figma (layers in the same frame/group are exported as a single icon)
- Click on the Save ICO button
- Choose a save location from the Save As dialog (the default save location is your "Download" folder)
Note: If you want to optimize your workflow even more, name the group/frame layer to be the name of the icon.
