Description:

"Variables Pro" is a powerful Figma plugin designed to streamline your design workflow by offering advanced variable management capabilities. With this plugin, you can easily swap variables between different collections, libraries, and local variables, making it a breeze to maintain consistency and efficiency in your Figma projects. You can also import and export variables with advance features.

Features:

1. Swap variables: Let's you swap variables used in the current file. The source library is the one that has the variables you've already used in the current file. Swap those variables with the variables from the target library. You can select specific area / current page / all pages of a file for swap.
2. Search and Select Specific Variables : Advanced search functionality allows you to find specific variables before initiating the swap, import and export operation. This feature ensures greater precision and control over the variable process.
3. Import, Export Variables :  "Variables Pro" enable you to import and export variables seamlessly. Import and export supports variable with multiple mode, value as alias, scopes and code syntax. You can import and export variables in JSON format. You can select collections before export and import giving you the power of what you need.

Notes

Swapping Grid variables won't work in this case!

Here's the issue: If you apply a variable to one Grid type (e.g., COLUMN) and then switch to another type (e.g., GRID) on the same node, swapping the variable using the plugin will fail due to Figma API limitations.

Solution:

Clear conflicting variables: Clear any variables applied to other Grid types on the node.

Set the desired variable: Set the variable only in the Grid type you want to modify (e.g., size for GRID).

Swap variable (optional): If needed, you can then use the Swap feature.

By following these steps, you'll avoid errors and ensure successful management of Grid variables in Figma.

Swapping Effects variables : Layer blur and background blur variables is not yet supported due to the lack of from Figma API.
