About this plugin
This plugin helps you rename and export layers named $IMG in your Figma project based on special tags. You can choose between two workflows:
- Destructive export: Layers are renamed and export settings applied (JPG, PNG, SVG, @1x, @2x, @3x). Once renamed, the original $IMG layers are lost, and the plugin cannot be rerun unless you revert to an earlier version.
- Non-destructive export: The plugin creates a new page where it duplicates and renames all matching layers, preserving the original ones. You can delete the new page and restart anytime.
A Figma template will soon be provided with pre-set tags and an organized layout to make your workflow faster and more reliable. More detailed documentation will also follow.
