With one click, the plugin lets you turn your designs into fully functional Tableau Dashboards. You no longer have to rebuild your dashboard in Tableau and fight with containers or inconsistent floating elements.

How it works:

Select a frame and click on export. As simple as that. Use Figma's capabilities and simplicity to create your dashboard UI and export it as a Tableau dashboard automatically.

New feature: Dashboard Generator 🚨

We added a new Generate tab in the plugin that allows you to generate dashboards with containers, navigations buttons, logo, and more in a single click. You can select pre-defined layouts and save your design preferences. All generated dashboard are ready to be exported in Tableau!

Worksheets and existing Workbooks:

All Figma nodes starting with SHEET/ are automatically converted to a Tableau Worksheet.

If you don't input an existing Workbook, the generated Worksheets are simple bar charts connected to Sample Superstore. You can easily replace the dummy worksheets directly in Tableau.

If you input a Tableau Workbook, you can add your existing worksheets to your Figma design. The plugin automatically adds the correct worksheets to the Tableau dashboard during the export.

Export Options: 

You can choose to export your design as Tiled with Horizontal and Vertical Containers (only available if you use Auto-Layout in Figma), Floating elements, or as a Background Image (if you use shadows, gradients, rounded corners, or other functionality not available in Tableau).

Similarly, you can export the Text elements as Text objects in Tableau or Images if you use fonts unavailable in Tableau. You don't need to convert them; the plugin automatically does it.

Conversion:

1. Auto Layout Frame -> Containers
2. Nodes starting with SHEET/-> Worksheets
3. Nodes starting with NAV/-> Navigation Buttons
4. Image, Vector, and nodes starting with IMAGE/ -> Images
5. Text -> Text
6. Nodes starting with URL/-> Web Object
7. Rectangles -> Blank
