cmd your workflow

cmd-fill gives you a collection of menu-driven, fill-related controls to supercharge your workflow.

The aim of this plugin is to save you time by surfacing those super-common, mouse-driven tasks - and provide access to them via the plugin menu.

Using your favorite keyboard shortcut or macro tool, assign any of these actions as shortcuts for the ultimate productivity boost.

cmd-fill features

Along with basic features around adding and removing fills, strokes, effects, and export settings, cmd-fill empowers you with features like:

• Gradient mirroring and directionality (including 45° angles)
• Image scale mode control (Fill, Fit, Crop, Tile)
• Copy color values across color modes (CSS, RGB, HSL, HSB)
• Directly apply strokes to specific edges
• Invert colors (including linear gradients)
• Flatten layer fills to create a single new hex value
• Dynamic black & white color (changes based on background)
• Invisible-yet-selectable hitbox fill

features & conditions

Add Fill

Add a white, black, gradient, image, dynamic black, or hitbox fill to selected layers.

• Use on one or more layers
• Gradient will pick up any current fill colors, if any
• Dynamic fill changes between black and white depending on it’s background color
• Hitbox is invisible, but allows you to select the layer using cmd + click

Remove Fill

Remove all fills from selected layers.

• Use on one or more layers

Invert Fill Color

Inverts the fill color, where light becomes dark and vice versa and colors change to their compliment.

• Use on one or more layers with a single fill
• Supports linear gradients with transparent or opaque stops

Flatten Fill Color

Replaces two fills with a single fill using the flattened hex value of the previous two fills.

• Use on one or more layers
• Layer must use two fills
• Top fill must use transparency, bottom fill must be fully opaque
• Works on linear gradients if all stops are fully opaque

Copy Fill Value

Copy the specified color mode value of a layer to the clipboard.

• Use on a single layer with a single fill

Copy Flattened Hex

Copies the flattened hex value of the previous two fills to the clipboard, retaining the current fills of the layer.

• Use on a single layer
• Layer must use two fills
• Top fill must use transparency, bottom fill must be fully opaque
• Does not support gradients

Mirror Gradient

Reversed the gradient color stops.

• Use on one or more layers with linear gradients
• Layer must have only one gradient fill

Gradient Orientation

Orient gradients in any direction you choose.

• Use on one or more layers with linear gradients
• Layer must have only one fill

Image Mode

Change the image scale mode for selected images.

• Use on one or more layers with an image fill

Add Stroke

Add black or dynamic stroke to all or specified edges of selected layers.

• Use on one or more layers
• Replaces existing stroke color and weight

Modify Stroke

Applies the stroke to the specified edges or alignment positions.

• Use on one or more layers
• Maintains existing stroke color and weight

Remove Stokes

Remove all strokes from selected layers.

• Use on one or more layers

Layer Effects

Apply effects to selected layers, adding to any existing effects.

• Use on one or more layers

Layer Export

Apply export settings to selected layers, replacing any existing settings.

• Use on one or more layers
• iOS & Android will add multiple export scales according to platform

Notes

cmd + fill will ignore and in many cases remove fills which have been set to hidden
