About this plugin

Identify and annotate bugs for your Design QA using our custom annotations, and track all the bugs in one place with our bug tracker table. Save time and effort while keeping track of your raised bugs in a single location.

How to Use:

  1. Create a frame or rectangle over the section of the screenshot or Figma design you wish to annotate.
  2. Keep the frame or rectangle selected.
  3. Run the plugin.
  4. Enter necessary information such as the page name where the bug was found, component, details of the discrepancy, expected behaviour, and direction for the annotation.
  5. You have multiple options:
  6. Choose between Design QA mode or Annotation mode. Note: Annotation mode does not create the QA tracker.
  7. In Design QA mode, you can choose to create a new table when starting a new QA round.
  8. You can opt to mark spacing that creates an arrow on the selected direction of the frame instead of creating an outline

Click 'Generate' and let the plugin do the work!

Tracking and Collaboration:

  1. Keep track of all bugs in the bug tracking table and share it with your engineering team for a comprehensive list of issues.

Note:

  1. Initial Use: The first time you run the plugin in Design QA mode, a tracker and status component is created. Subsequent annotations will add entries to this tracker. For annotation mode, a global counter is created. Please don't delete this node. We're using this node to keep track of number of bugs raised.
  2. Manual Adjustments: Some details, such as the points of contact for the project, design links, and browser details used during QA, will need to be manually updated.
  3. Edit with Ease: Undo and redo changes using standard cmd+z and cmd+shift+z. Ensure that entries in the tracker and annotations remain consistent. This might need multiple cmd+zs to bring it to a previous state.

We are committed to enhancing this tool to make it the ultimate companion for Design QA, continually adding features to simplify the QA process for designers. Please feel free to reach out for issues, suggestions and/or feature requests.
