About this plugin

Work/Space is a Figma plugin designed to streamline the setup of your Figma page structure with just a button click. It also includes a built-in traffic light management feature for page organisation, as demonstrated in the GIF.

Having been a developer in my past life, I can empathise with their challenges. Uncertainty about what to expect, especially when they use Figma for the first time, can delay project delivery. The inspiration for this plugin came from numerous discussions with various development teams. I realised that:

1. Developers generally don't understand Atomic Design Systems.

2. The 'Ready for dev' feature in Figma, while beneficial, isn't the most efficient way to visually communicate readiness to developers.

3. Crucially, not all development teams have access to the infamous 'Dev Mode' (a questionable decision, Figma), particularly smaller agencies or teams with limited budgets.

The traffic light system is an effective project management tool. The page management feature in Work/Space subtly encourages conversations with developers to minimise communication gaps effectively.
