Icon Tagger is a Figma plugin that generates keywords for your icons with AI and adds them to component descriptions, making it easier to find them.

How does it work?

The plugin will process your icons and update component descriptions with synonyms related to your icon name.

1. Open the Icon Tagger plugin.

2. Select icon components.

3. Press the “Create tags” button.

4. After processing, synonyms of the icon names will be added to the component description.

Multiple languages supported

You can generate synonyms for your icons in 9 languages: English, Spanish, French, Polish, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian!

Is it free?

You can test the plugin on five icons for free. You will need to purchase credits to use it on more icons. The plugin uses Anthropic’s Claude 3 Sonnet. Large-language models cost quite a bit of money to run. We must cover our costs to grow Icon Tagger sustainably without compromising our service quality.

What is the cost of the credits?

- Each icon you process uses one credit.

- You pay $5 once to get the plugin.

- Then, depending on the credits variant you selected:

1. you pay $5 monthly for up to 2000 icon processings based on your usage
2. or $10 monthly for up to 4000 icon processings based on your usage

- For example, if you process 1000 icons (use 1000 credits), you will pay 2.5 USD at the end of the month.

- If you process 2000 icons, you'll use all your credits for that month and pay 5 USD at the end of the month.

How do I prepare my icons for processing to get the best results?

The plugin generates synonyms for your icons based on their names. For the best results, temporarily rename your icons for the synonym generation process. For example, rename 'Icon / StarFilled' to ‘icon/star’ or ‘star’.

How many icons can I process in one go?

You can process a maximum of 200 icons at a time. After processing 200 icons, you can move on to the next 200 icons, and so on.

Does the plugin overwrite the description of the icon component?

No. The plugin will inject the newly generated synonyms above your previous component description.
