How to use the plugin

1. Open the Modyfi Plugin.
2. Select one or more elements in Figma,
3. The plug in will display how many are selected and ready for copying
4. Click the “Copy” button on the plugin, content will be copied to the clipboard.
5. Open a new Modyfi Project file and hit ⌘V to paste
6. Figma elements will be copied into the Current Modyfi project
7. Add animation with motion effects!

Known limitations

The plugin is in active development. We’ll be working through these but the following nodes/properties aren’t yet fully supported:

1. Vector Line patterns (dashed etc) & Line ends (arrows, circles etc) (In progress)
2. Filling shapes with gradient (they would be copied as SVGs)
3. Rounded corners on Rectangles.
4. Filling Frames with images that use different types of image fill mode (stretch, crop, etc) also doesn't have full compatibility
5. Various advanced Figma features (variables, constraints, etc) currently have no equivalent mapping in Modyfi.
6. Text layout controls and Text Wrapping
7. Various nodes brought over as SVG currently (vector paths, shapes)
8. Stroke outlines (including for things like text)
9. 200MB Limit on size of import
10. Slow generation for imports containing images
11. Mixed text content (different styles within a text string)
12. Masks
