About this plugin

Take control of your variables with the updated Variables Editor plugin. Designed to simplify variable management in Figma, this version lets you edit linked variables directly, avoid complex navigation, and keep your workflow smooth and intuitive.

Key Features:

  1. Edit variables in place: Select any text linked to a variable and start editing it right there — no need to dig through nested structures or remember paths.
  2. Reference-aware updates: Seamlessly edit variables that reference others. Your changes automatically apply to the final target without breaking the original links.
  3. Multi-line inputs with line breaks: Edit values in spacious fields with full support for line breaks, giving you more flexibility than native controls.
  4. Undo changes instantly: Easily revert variable names or values to their previous state with a single click.
  5. Quick variable creation: Add new variables directly to the current collection, right next to the selected variable, without leaving the editing context.
  6. Resizable interface: Adjust the plugin window and input fields to suit your needs, whether working with simple text or complex structures.

Perfect for localization, UI text management, and advanced variable workflows, the Variables Editor plugin is here to help you focus on design, not tedious variable navigation.
