Split & Merge

About this plugin

Split any shape into a customizable grid (rows × columns) with control over spacing and padding. Use auto layout or fixed positioning.

Merge multiple shapes or frames into organized containers with automatic bounding box calculation.

Supports Rectangles, Frames, and Text elements.

Usage

Split a shape:

1. Select a Rectangle, Frame, or Text in your Figma file
2. Open the Split & Merge plugin
3. Choose the number of columns and rows
4. Adjust gap (spacing) and margin (padding) as needed
5. Click "Split Selected" to generate the grid

Merge shapes:

1. Select 2 or more shapes (Rectangles, Frames, or Text)
2. Click "Merge Selected" button
3. The shapes will be merged into a single bounding box
