About this plugin

Introduction

Use your OpenAI API key with this plugin to quickly generate text for your designs. The plugin can allows to generate multiple text layers based on the content. Furthermore, it can also group the layers by their names, allowing you to use the layer names in the prompt to further elaborate how you want the data to be filled in.

How to use

The plugin was primarily created for 2 use cases:

1. Generate variations of a single type of data:

1. Select all the text layers that show the same type of data and you want to generate variations of it. Imagine Name, City, Stock price, etc.
2. Make sure 'Group by layer name' is OFF.
3. Add details to the prompt to explain the type of content you want to be generated for the selected fields. Giving examples and formatting is also helpful.
4. Click generate and it will fill the information!

2. Generate variations of multiple types of data:

1. Select all the frames or components that you want to fill using this plugin.
2. Turn ON 'Group by layer name'. The plugin will show you the layer names found.
3. Add details to the prompt to explain the type of content you want to be generated for the selected fields. You can use the layer names to add specific context. Giving examples and formatting is also helpful.
4. Click generate and it will fill the information!

3. Generated related data

You can use the group by layer name to select singular text layers which are related. An example is when you need text for First name, Last name, DoB, role, location and relatives. The plugin will try to generate related content for these layers.

Note

1. This plugin needs an OpenAI API Key to work.

2. I will recommend naming your text layers appropriately if you plan to use the Group by layer name feature. You can use it without naming the layers, but sometimes this might result in unexpected results.
