Mercurius is a Figma plugin that analyzes and exports images in multiple formats (WEBP, PNG, or JPG) with AI-generated descriptions. The plugin uses OpenAI's API to generate accurate descriptions and suggest meaningful file names while automatically optimizing file size.

Quick Export Mode 📦

For when you just need to export images quickly with optimization

1. Select an image, frame, or component in Figma
2. Click "Export Image" on the home screen
3. You'll see: selected frame name, image dimensions, aspect ratio
4. Configure export settings: choose format (WEBP, PNG, or JPG), set maximum file size in MB, select export scale (1x, 2x, 3x, 5x)
5. Click "Export" to save your optimized image

AI-Powered Export Mode 🤖

For when you want AI assistance with descriptions and smart file naming

1. Select an image, frame, or component in Figma
2. First-time setup: Enter your OpenAI API key: the key will be securely saved for future use
3. Click "Analyze Image" on the home screen
4. The AI will analyze and provide: smart image description, SEO-friendly file name suggestion, image dimensions and aspect ratio
5. Configure export settings: choose format (WEBP, PNG, or JPG), set maximum file size in MB, select export scale (1x, 2x, 3x, 5x)
6. Click "Export" to save your image with the AI-suggested name
