Zimmar is a free Figma plugin that checks for accessibility compliance issues and helps you fix them.Many designers face challenges in spotting issues like small text, poor color contrast, or improperly spaced touch targets. I wanted to build a tool that would empower designers to spot and fix these issues right within Figma.Zimmar is built to seamlessly integrate with Figma and provide designers with quick, actionable insights.Here's how it helps:Scans a single page or your entire file for font size, contrast, and touch target issues, with live progress and the option to cancel mid-scan.Flags areas where improvements are needed based on accessibility standards like WCAG 2.1/2.2, with an adjustable AA/AAA target level.Scores contrast against both WCAG and APCA, the perceptually-uniform algorithm being evaluated for WCAG 3, and flags the cases where the two disagree.Suggests ready-to-apply, WCAG-compliant color fixes for failing contrast, so you can resolve an issue in one click instead of guessing.Adapts touch target checks to your design's input type (touch or pointer), since the accessible minimum size differs between them.Provides AI-powered alt-text generation for images.Gives an instant accessibility overview when you select one or more elements, even inside a frame or group.Generates CSV or JSON reports of detected issues for further analysis.This plugin isn't just about checking boxes - it's about raising awareness and making accessibility an integral part of the design process.
