Figma Duplication Plugin

What It Does

The Figma Duplication Plugin is designed to create multiple copies of a selected frame, automatically populating text fields with data from a CSV file. Key features include:

1. Bulk Duplication: Create multiple copies of a selected frame
2. Dynamic Text Replacement: Update text content in each duplicate using CSV data
3. Organized Layout: Automatically arrange duplicates in a grid layout within a new section

How To Use It

1. Select a Frame: First, select the frame you want to duplicate in your Figma file.

1. Launch the Plugin: Open the Duplication Plugin from your plugins panel.

Configure Settings:

1. Enter the number of copies you want to create
2. Select which text layers you want to modify (you can add multiple)
3. Upload a CSV file containing the data for text replacement

CSV Format Requirements:

1. The CSV headers must exactly match the names of the text layers you want to modify
2. Each row represents data for one duplicate
3. The plugin will read values from the columns corresponding to your selected text layers
4. Click Submit: The plugin will create your duplicates in a new section with all text fields updated according to your CSV data.

Limitations

1. Works only with frames containing text layers
2. CSV headers must exactly match the text layer names

This plugin is ideal for creating multiple versions of components that differ only in text content, such as cards, buttons, or profile items with different data
