About this plugin

Tired of manually resizing images within frames one by one, especially when you need them to fit a specific maximum dimension while keeping their aspect ratio? "Long Side Scaling" automates this task!

What this plugin does:

  1. It finds the first visible Rectangle node with an Image fill inside each selected Frame.
  2. It takes the dimension you provide (e.g., 1040px).
  3. It identifies whether the image's width or height is larger (the "longest side").
  4. It then proportionally resizes the image so that its longest side exactly matches the dimension you entered.

How to use:

  1. Select one or more Frames containing the images you want to resize.
  2. Run the "Long Side Scaling" plugin from the Plugins menu.
  3. The plugin window will show how many selected frames contain a suitable image.
  4. Enter the desired dimension (in pixels) for the longest side into the input field.
  5. Click the "Start" button.
  6. The images within the selected frames will be resized instantly!

Key Benefits:

  1. Batch Processing: Saves time by resizing images in multiple frames at once.
  2. Proportional Scaling: Guarantees your images won't be stretched or distorted.
  3. Consistent Sizing: Perfect for creating uniform image galleries, grids, or ensuring images don't exceed a maximum width or height.
  4. Simple Interface: Easy to use with just one input and one button.

Important Note:

This plugin specifically targets the first visible Rectangle node with an Image fill it finds directly within each selected Frame. Images inside groups within the frame, or images applied as fills to shapes other than Rectangles, will not be affected.
