How does this plugin work?

Users can automate the creation of personalized certificates inside Figma, avoiding the manual copy-pasting of required data.

Step-by-step: How to use the plugin

1 - Create the base design in Figma

1. Design a certificate inside a Frame or Component.
2. Use text layers named like #NAME, #COURSE, #DATE, etc.
3. These names will be automatically replaced with data from the Sheet.

2 – Prepare the Google Sheet

1. Create a public Google Sheet.
2. In the first row, write the field names: NAME, COURSE, DATE, ID, etc.
3. Fill the rows with each person’s data.
4. Make sure the document is public (set to “Anyone with the link can view”).

3 – Select your design in Figma

1. Select the Frame or Component containing your base design.
2. Only one selection is allowed when running the plugin.

4 – Open the plugin

1. Run the plugin from the Figma menu.
2. Paste the Google Sheet link.
3. Enter the sheet name (e.g., Students).
4. Toggle the “Show ID” option on or off if you want to hide it.

5 – Preview (optional)

1. Click “Preview” to generate just one sample certificate.

6 – Generate certificates

1. Click “Generate.”
2. The plugin will clone your base design, replace the fields, and automatically arrange the certificates on the Figma page.
