About this plugin

Easily calculate variable values

Use Variable Calculator to apply math formulas, recalculating your variables. Apply to en entire collection, specific group, or specific mode. Great for scaling numbers for responsive behavior.

1. Select your collection
2. Select the target mode or all modes
3. Enter the path to a group of variables
4. Enter the formula to apply to the variables
5. Calculate!

Tip

1. Use a, b, c, n, v, x, $ or value to reference the current variable value.
2. Keep your variable window open to see the changes.
3. Use the Refresh button to pull in changes to the variables made when the plugin window is open. (see below for copy & paste)
4. Use clear to quickly delete the path.

Plugin Notes

1. Variable names and paths are case sensitive.
2. Updating variables, especially those linked to text styles may take longer to propagate.

Copy/Paste Figma Bug

If you copy/paste variables between collections, you may need to reload the tab in order for those variables to register in their new collection.
