How to Use

  1. Set Figma’s export settings or use the naming convention `export-[scale]x-[format]` (e.g., `export-1.5x-png`).
  2. Trigger the plugin in Figma while in design mode.
  3. Get a TinyPNG API key from [tinypng.com/developers](https://tinypng.com/developers) and enter it in the plugin’s Settings tab.
  4. Enable TinyPNG compression for optimized images.
  5. Use the plugin UI to export individual layers or all at once.

Naming Convention

SVGs or PDFs do not support `scale`. If a naming convention is present, it is preferred over Figma's export settings. It is recommended to use Figma's export settings if you can.

  1. Format: `export-[scale]x-[format]`
  2. `scale`: Any number (e.g., 2, 1.5) – 1 by default
  3. `format`: png, jpg, svg, or pdf – jpg is set by default

Examples:

  1. `imageName [export-1.5x-png]`
  2. `imageName [export-2x-jpg]`
  3. `imageName [export-jpg]`
  4. `svgName [export-svg]`

Security

  1. The TinyPNG API key is stored only locally
  2. The plugin uses a proxy to communicate with the API
