About this plugin
RetroPulse brings iconic retro filters directly into Figma. From Game Boy and Polaroid SX-70 to CRT TVs, fax machines, and dot matrix printers — transform any image into a nostalgic digital aesthetic.
How it works
- Select a rectangle that contains an image fill.
- Open the RetroPulse plugin.
- Choose from over 16 unique filters, including CRT TV, Old Webcam, ASCII, and MS Paint 95.
- The filter is applied as a new fill layer, while the original image remains preserved (hidden).
Key Features
- Fully self-contained, runs entirely inside Figma
- Visual interface with color-coded icons for each filter
- Filters are applied via pixel-level processing, no external API calls
- CRT TV filter includes scanlines, RGB channel shift, and distortion
Requirements
- Works only with rectangle layers that contain an image fill
- Image fills must be visible and not empty
RetroPulse is ideal for designers looking to add character, nostalgia, or a distinct lo-fi aesthetic to their work — right inside Figma.
