About this plugin

RetroPulse brings iconic retro filters directly into Figma. From Game Boy and Polaroid SX-70 to CRT TVs, fax machines, and dot matrix printers — transform any image into a nostalgic digital aesthetic.

How it works

  1. Select a rectangle that contains an image fill.
  2. Open the RetroPulse plugin.
  3. Choose from over 16 unique filters, including CRT TV, Old Webcam, ASCII, and MS Paint 95.
  4. The filter is applied as a new fill layer, while the original image remains preserved (hidden).

Key Features

  1. Fully self-contained, runs entirely inside Figma
  2. Visual interface with color-coded icons for each filter
  3. Filters are applied via pixel-level processing, no external API calls
  4. CRT TV filter includes scanlines, RGB channel shift, and distortion

Requirements

  1. Works only with rectangle layers that contain an image fill
  2. Image fills must be visible and not empty

RetroPulse is ideal for designers looking to add character, nostalgia, or a distinct lo-fi aesthetic to their work — right inside Figma.
