Mentarii is an intelligent ghostwriter for Figma. Generate and replace text using OpenAI, whether you're filling in labels, crafting lists, or prototyping content. With precise JSON output, position-aware replacement, and secure local API key storage, Mentarii helps you design with clarity and intent. No scrolls or scribes required.

How to use Mentarii

1. Install Mentarii from the Figma Community
2. Open your Figma file and run the plugin from the Plugins menu
3. Set your OpenAI API key (key guide):
4. Click the settings icon in the plugin window
5. Paste your OpenAI API key (starts with sk-), the key is securely stored and auto-saved
6. Select one or more text elements on your canvas that you want to update
7. Type your prompt in the chat box (e.g., "Generate 5 creative headlines")
8. Click Send (or press Enter), the plugin will replace the content of each selected text element with AI-generated results while preserving your layout

NOTE: You will need to fund your OpenAI account. In my experience using this plugin daily costs about $0.20/month (veryyy cheap)
