Design Matrix is a powerful Figma plugin that bridges your structured Excel data directly into your Figma designs. With seamless drag-and-drop or manual upload support for .xlsx files, it allows designers to preview, filter, and selectively sync data into their layouts with precision and control.

Drag and drop an Excel file into the plugin to instantly preview and sync your data.

Toggle individual columns to control exactly which data fields get included in your design process.

Smart Filtering

Use built-in dropdown filters to select specific rows based on unique values from any column

🏷️ Tag-Based Layer Binding

Click on any column header to assign it as a special tag. These tags will automatically bind Excel values to matching Figma text layers during sync.

For example, if a text layer is named #title and you tag the column title, Design Matrix will automatically populate that text node with the matching row value.

How to Use

1. Upload Excel File
2. Use the drag-and-drop zone or click to manually upload a .xlsx file.
3. Select your desired sheet from the dropdown.
4. Preview & Configure
5. The data will be previewed in a table format.
6. Use the toggles beside each column name to enable or disable syncing for that field.
7. Assign special tags to key columns by clicking the “Tag” button next to their names.

Filter Data

Use the filter controls to focus on a specific set of rows.

Choose a column and one of its unique values to limit what gets synced.

Sync

Click “Sync” to push the tagged data values into matching text layers within your Figma design.
