Point Notes

About this plugin

Add crisp, color-coded callouts to any layer—perfect for design specs and handoff. Each note is an Auto Layout bubble connected by a vector leader anchored to the selected layer’s side center. Works with nested layers and remembers your last color and side.

How it works

1. Select a layer
2. Type your note, format the text, and pick a color
3. Choose the side (Left/Right/Top/Bottom)
4. Create (⌘/Ctrl + Enter)

Edit in place

Select an existing note to live-edit its text, color, or side right in the plugin. Delete is available in edit mode.

Formatting

Supports lightweight markdown: bold, italic, and strikethrough (also via ⌘/Ctrl +B, ⌘/Ctrl + I, ⌘/Ctrl + ⇧ X).

Smart layout

1. Text bubble auto-wraps up to 480 px
2. Leader auto-sizes with a minimum of 120 px
3. Side quick-switch: ← → ↑ ↓
4. Focus returns to the canvas after creating a note

Privacy & performance

No external services or network calls. Uses clientStorage to remember your last color/side. Lightweight and fast.
