Sticky Pad

Sticky Pad creates a pad of 50 stickies on your Figjam canvas, stacked to look like a real-life pad! It will use whatever color sticky you have currently selected in your toolbar.

Why?

In real life whiteboarding, we pull stickies off a pad that's readily at hand, and put them on a whiteboard with a natural imprecision. It's a physical tradition that remains popular in part due to how convenient and natural it feels.

In Figjam, the Sticky tool is a bit too subtle and spatially distanced to have the same convenience and tactility of a real sticky pad.

I see people (and Figma) addressing this friction by creating a tidy grid of dozens of blank stickies on a pre-made canvas, and asking participants to claim their own and write in it. This drives me nuts because it is an awkward experience to claim a sticky, it implies a finite number of ideas, and the visual homogeneity of the grid-of-stickies misses out of the value of unexpected visual patterns that are potentially informational and always more memorable.
