Lazy Variable helps you keep copy consistent with Figma Variables. Scan selected text layers, get smart suggestions, and bind (or create) variables instantly—without leaving your canvas.

What it does

* Scan (“Lazy Check”) your selection and show exact/close matches across collections.

* One-click bind from suggestion chips, or Create + auto-bind new variables from text.

* Global search across all collections; apply a result directly to selected layers.

* Quick edit / delete variables inline; Jump to any variable in the list.

* Group & sort by path; supports multiple modes without resetting your current mode.

* Handles tricky cases (copied text from other files, “/” in names, read-only instances).

How to use

1. Select one or more text layers.

2. Click Lazy Check to see matches and suggestions.

3. Click a chip to bind, or + Create to make and bind a new variable.

4. Use the search bar to find variables across collections and apply with one click.
