⚙️ How to use

🎨 For designers, to insert animations:

1. Install the SVGator plugin from the Figma Community
2. Connect your SVGator account and authorize access
3. Select an SVGator project from the plugin and choose which file types to generate
4. Click “Insert to Figma” to add both the preview and production-ready files to your project

💡 Animate a design from Figma: Copy your design as SVG, paste it in SVGator’s editor and animate it.

👨‍💻 For developers, to get the production-ready files:

1. Install the plugin (no SVGator account needed)
2. In Dev Mode, open the Plugins tab and select the SVGator plugin
3. Click an animation already inserted into the Figma project
4. Download the production-ready file or copy its code

1. What is SVGator?

SVGator is a browser-based animation tool for creating production-ready SVG and Lottie animations without coding. Create smooth, scalable animations for websites, mobile apps, and marketing campaigns.

2. Do I need a paid SVGator account to use the plugin?

No. The plugin works with SVGator's free plan. You can copy Figma designs, animate in SVGator, and then download production files at no cost. Export options match your current SVGator plan’s specifications.

3. Do animations play in real-time in Figma’s editor?

No. Animations appear as static frames in your Figma editor. Switch to Present mode to see GIF or MP4 previews of your animations.

4. Can I test interactive animations (hover, click, scroll) in Figma?

Interactive triggers won't display in Figma's GIF/MP4 previews. Download the animated SVG from the plugin and test it in a browser or your development environment to see interactivity in action. You can also preview interactions in SVGator's export panel before switching to Figma.

5. Can I skip the preview file generation?

Yes. Choose static SVG as your preview format if you only need the production file. This skips GIF/MP4 rendering and gets you to download faster.
