TextSnap is a lightweight OCR plugin that converts screenshots, mockups, and hand‑off images into editable text layers directly inside Figma. Just select a frame or image, click “Start Text Recognition,” and TextSnap will extract the text for you—ready to copy or drop into your design.

Powered by Tesseract.js, TextSnap supports English, French, Traditional/Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, with an Auto Detect mode for mixed‑language content. The plugin automatically cleans up OCR output by trimming extra spaces and collapsing messy blank lines, so you get readable text instead of raw OCR noise.

You can quickly copy the recognized text to your clipboard or create a Figma text layer positioned beneath the original image. TextSnap also remembers your last chosen language across sessions, making repeated workflows smoother for bilingual and multilingual projects.
