Create groups of text layers and edit them all at once, preserving their individual formatting.

Great for iterating multiple design sizes or variations. Set up edit groups of headlines, subheads, CTAs or anything else. Change all the copy for display ads, emails or anything you need to create multiple versions of. A great way to handle the indecisive clients and copywriters in your life.

Getting Started with Altogether

1. Click the plus button to create a new text edit group with any selected text layers.
2. If you select a container object, like a frame or group, creating a text edit group will include all of the text layers in the container.
3. Once a group is created, if the plugin is open, updating the text in one layer will update all layers in that group. Even on the canvas.
4. Click the group header to select all of the layers the group manages.
5. You can rename a group by double clicking the group name.
6. Drag and drop layer groups to reorder.
7. To add more layers to an existing group, select layers and click the plus for that group. Remove selected layers by clicking the minus.
8. Your managed groups are saved within the Figma file, so you can come back to it. Or share with collaborators.

Other Cool Stuff

1. Copy/pasting/duplicating text layers in the same file, adds the new layer(s) to the same edit group they came from.
2. Editing affects all edit group members even if they are on other pages.
3. Layers are temporary renamed so it’s easy to scan and see what layers are a part of an edit group (layer names revert when closing the plugin)*

* If you happen to close Figma without closing the plugin, layers will not revert to the original names... BUT if you reopen the file and then the Altogether plugin, when you close the plugin again it will restore original layer names.
