It acts as a "bulk action" utility, allowing designers to apply, manage, and remove annotations across multiple layers simultaneously, rather than handling them one by one.

It integrates deeply with Figma's Dev Mode features, utilising annotation categories and linking specific node properties (like typography, layout, or dimensions) to the notes for clearer developer handoff.

What Users Can Do

With Annotations Manager, users can:

1. Bulk Add Annotations: Select multiple layers (frames, text, shapes) and apply a single annotation to all of them instantly.

2. Pin Specific Properties: detailed technical context by checking specific properties (e.g., Height, Opacity, Padding, Font Family) to associated with the annotation. The plugin automatically detects which properties are valid for the selected nodes.

3. Format Rich Text: Write annotations with formatting, including bold, italics, bulleted lists, and embedded links.

4. Categorise Notes: Assign annotations to specific categories defined in the file.

5. Smart Bulk Delete: Remove annotations efficiently with granular control:

1. Scope: Delete from the Current Selection, Current Page, or Entire File.
2. Filter: specific categories to delete while keeping others (e.g., delete all "Draft" notes but keep "Dev" notes).
3. Safety: The plugin automatically detects and skips inherited annotations (from main components) that cannot be deleted on instances.
