Instant Key is a lightweight utility designed for "Green Screen" style background removal.

Instead of detecting subjects like heavy AI models, this tool uses the Chroma Key algorithm to target and remove pixels based on color similarity (YCbCr). It runs 100% locally on your device, offering a blazing fast and private solution for processing images with solid backgrounds.

💡 Tips for Best Results

Auto vs. Manual: The plugin automatically estimates the background color upon opening, which is usually accurate. However, for the most precise matte, we recommend using the Eyedropper to manually sample the exact background color.

Fine-tuning: Don't stop at "Tolerance"! Exploring the detailed parameters (like Softness and Edge Decontamination) in the settings can significantly improve the quality of the edges.

🚀 How to use

Select an image layer.

Run Instant Key.

(Optional) Use the Eyedropper to pick a specific background color if the auto-detection isn't perfect.

Adjust "Tolerance" to remove the background.

Expand the settings to fine-tune detailed parameters for a perfect edge.
