About this plugin
Jot is a design decision journal for Figma. It captures the rationale behind design choices at the point they are made, linked to the layer they relate to, so context stays with the work instead of disappearing into Slack threads or Notion pages.
What you can log:
- Decisions
- Assumptions
- Trade-offs
- Feedback
- Design debt
Each entry is attached to a specific layer. Click any entry to jump back to it. Edit or delete entries as thinking evolves. Export everything to Markdown to share context outside Figma.
How it stores data:
Entries are saved using Figma's plugin data API. They live inside the file. No data is sent to any external service. Anyone with edit access to the file can view, edit, or delete entries.
Feel free to leave feedback on improvements or submit issues on GitHub!
