Sticky Comment
Export FigJam stickies connected threads of comments to CSV, XLSX, or JSON
Plugin Preview
About this plugin
Export your FigJam sticky notes — with threaded comments — into structured, ready-to-use files.
After a brainstorm, retro, or workshop, getting data off the board shouldn't be the hard part. Sticky Export turns your selected sticky notes into clean CSV, XLSX, or JSON files in seconds.
What you get per sticky:
- Text content and author
- Color label (all 8 FigJam colors recognized)
- Section hierarchy (knows which section a sticky belongs to, including nested sections)
- Canvas position (X/Y coordinates)
Optional: Include Figma comments
Toggle on comment fetching and stickies are matched with any Figma comments pinned to them — including full threads, authors, timestamps, and resolved status. Comments are intelligently matched by node ID or proximity, so even comments pinned near (not directly on) a sticky get captured.
Three export formats:
- CSV — UTF-8 with BOM, RFC 4180 compliant. Opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, and Numbers.
- XLSX — Native Excel spreadsheet. No import step needed.
- JSON — Nested structure preserving the full sticky + comments hierarchy. Great for developers and automation.
How it works:
- Select sticky notes or entire sections on your FigJam board
- Pick a format
- Optionally connect your Figma Personal Access Token to include comments
- Click Export — file downloads instantly
Your token is stored locally and never leaves your device except to call the official Figma API. Works with any FigJam file.
Perfect for workshop facilitators, UX researchers, product managers, and anyone who needs to take FigJam data into spreadsheets, reports, or downstream tools.
