About this plugin

Particles UI is a design token management platform for design systems teams. This plugin connects Figma to Particles Studio so designers can work with the same tokens your developers sync to code.WHAT YOU CAN DO• Sign in securely — Device authorization opens Studio in your browser; no passwords stored in Figma.• Manage tokens in Figma — Create, edit, and organize primitive, semantic, and composition tokens with tier filters, color pickers, and reference pickers.• Pull tokens into Figma — Sync tokens from Studio into Local Variables (color, number, string). Semantic tokens become variable aliases; composition typography becomes Text Styles (Particles UI/). OKLCh colors convert to sRGB.• Push changes back — Read Figma variable values, diff against the last pull, and sync to your branch with a confirmation step.• Inspector — Select any layer and apply tokens by tier (Primitive / Semantic / Composition), category, and property (fill, stroke, spacing, typography, shadows, auto-layout, and more). Search and filter chips loaded live from your project.• Branches & token requests — Switch branches, open review requests, view diffs, approve, reject, merge, and comment — same workflow as Studio.• Named themes — List themes and Apply to Figma (adds a mode on Pro plans or a separate collection on Starter).• Releases & history — Publish semver releases, pull release snapshots into Figma, view commit history, and revert with confirmation.WHY PARTICLES UIUnlike basic variable exporters, Particles UI offers multi-brand themes with inheritance, git-like branch versioning, PR-style token requests, WCAG contrast checking in Studio, and CLI export to Tailwind v4, CSS, SCSS, Style Dictionary, W3C, and JSON.REQUIREMENTS• A Particles Studio account (sign up at https://studio.particles-ui.com or your org’s Studio URL).• Figma desktop (116+) or Chromium-based Figma in the browser (Safari is not supported).GETTING STARTED1. Install the plugin and open Plugins → Particles UI.2. Sign in with Particles Studio and approve the device code in your browser.3. Select your organization, project, and branch.4. Pull tokens to create or update your Figma variables and text styles.5. Use the Inspector tab to bind tokens to selected layers.Documentation: https://particles-ui.com/docs/figma-plugin
