Clean My CanvasA no-nonsense Figma plugin that helps you clean up your design files.If you've ever opened a shared Figma file and wondered why it's so bloated and takes forever to load, this is for you. Clean My Canvas scans your current page and finds three things that bloat files:Hidden layers: Layers you can't see but are still there, taking up space. The plugin finds them and lets you delete them (or pick and choose which ones to keep).Component variant bloat: Component sets with way too many variants. The plugin flags the ones that are out of control.Oversized images: Images that are way bigger than the frame they're sitting in. The plugin can compress those down to something reasonable.It also gives you a Layer Health Score out of 10, so you get a quick sense of how messy things are and lets you choose what to clean (nothing happens automatically, you're in full control).How to use itOpen a page in Figma.Go to Plugins → Clean My Canvas.Click "Analyze Current Page" and wait a few seconds.You'll see three sections:Layers: Shows how many layers are visible vs hidden. Click any hidden layer to jump to it. Delete it one-by-one, or use the bulk cleanup button to nuke them all at once.Components: Lists component sets that have too many variants. Good for spotting the ones that are out of hand.Images: Shows oversized images sorted by how bad they are (worst first). Compress them individually, or compress everything in one go. The compression runs in the plugin (no uploads), and it'll tell you how much space you saved.After you clean up or compress, the plugin automatically re-analyzes so you can see the difference.That's it. Nothing fancy. Just helps keep your files from turning into a dumpster fire.
