Turn any image, logo, sticker, or icon into a clean, fully editable vector outline, right inside Figma.Outline Tracer traces the transparency (alpha) edge of any selected layer and converts it into a smooth, fully editable Bézier-curve vector you can reshape, recolor, and reuse. Great for vectorizing cut-out PNGs, stickers and sticker borders, die-cut and knockout shapes, logos, icons, illustrations, and silhouettes.Unlike ordinary auto-trace tools that snap rigidly to jagged pixels, Outline Tracer is powered by its own purpose-built tracing engine. It measures the distance to each edge — a technique called a Signed Distance Field (SDF) — and even reads the anti-aliasing of your artwork to recover the true edge at sub-pixel accuracy, then fits smooth Bézier curves directly to it. The result is a clean, faithful outline that keeps sharp corners sharp, with far fewer anchor points than pixel-snapping tracers. Prefer a natural, hand-drawn feel instead? An Editing badge appears, and changes apply live.ControlsGeometric mode (on/off): on = organic geometric smoothing with the corner controls below; off = a precise standard auto-trace (the geometric controls are disabled in this mode).Alpha Threshold: how opaque a pixel must be to count as part of the shape.Offset (px): grow (positive) or shrink (negative) the outline relative to the edge.Roughness: simplification tolerance; higher values give fewer, smoother points.
