Font Switch is a Figma plugin for changing font families across text layers, frames, groups, and saved text styles with control and safety.It lets you search available font families, switch selected text layers to a new font family, update text inside selected frames or groups, and change saved text styles directly. When text is linked to a saved style, Font Switch updates the saved text style instead of detaching the layer from that style.The plugin supports individual saved text styles, grouped text styles, nested style subgroups, multiple selected groups, and visible/all style selection. It preserves original font weights as closely as possible when switching families, so Bold, Medium, Light, SemiBold, and other weights map to the nearest matching weight in the new font.Font Switch also includes local font detection through Figma’s available fonts, searchable font and style lists, restore support for fonts changed during the session, light and dark mode, button sound feedback, and a polished UI designed for fast typography cleanup across design systems, brand refreshes, and large Figma files.
