About this plugin
Aurea Accessibility checks the frames you select against WCAG 2.2 (levels A, AA and AAA) and WAI-ARIA 1.2, then tells you what passes, what fails, what deserves a closer look and what can only be verified in code. The rule catalog holds 86 WCAG success criteria and 8 ARIA entries, each linked to its official W3C source, and ships inside the plugin: no network access is declared in the manifest, so the content of your file stays in Figma.Contrast is measured on the pixels that are actually painted. The plugin resolves the real background through the layer tree, including paint order and overlapping siblings, and when text or an icon sits on a photograph, a gradient, a blend or an overlapped stack of layers, it exports the region behind the element and samples every pixel, so the reported ratio is the worst case a reader can meet. Text with mixed styles is evaluated segment by segment with the correct large-text thresholds, and icons built from several vector paths get one verdict as a single unit. Before each run you pick the target device. Desktop, tablet and mobile apply the matching target-size thresholds (success criteria 2.5.5 and 2.5.8), and the choice holds for every frame in the run. Presets cover EN 301 549 (the technical standard behind the European Accessibility Act), Section 508 and ADA Title II, so the audit can match the regulation your project answers to.Results appear as a summary with pass, fail, warning and manual counts that expands per rule, and can be exported as report frames on the canvas, as Markdown files, or both, aggregated or one report per frame. A manual checklist collects the criteria a static design cannot prove, so the handoff states clearly what still needs testing in code. The interface is available in English and Italian. The panel itself meets WCAG AA, and this requirement is enforced by the plugin's own test suite.
