LaTeX Computer Modern Encoder
Convert LaTeX math expressions into regular formatted text layers
Plugin Preview
About this plugin
While Figma's text system is not powerful enough to support the full set of LaTeX math expressions, many simple expressions can be expressed as character sequences using the Computer Modern font family. The plugin performs a "best effort" conversion. It is intended to be used for simple formulas embedded in illustrations. For more complex expressions, we recommend a plugin that emits the formula as vector shapes. The main advantage of this plugin is that it outputs a normal text layer, which is copyable and can be included inline as part of larger text blocks.Restriction: Figma's plugin API currently does not permit programmatically setting the sub- and superscript flags in text layers. The formatting of subscripts and superscripts in the created text layers therefore has to be set by hand right now.
