About this plugin

Palette Vault generates color palettes and puts them into your file the way you actually need them.GENERATEFour colors that work together, eight schemes, and a reroll button. Press Space to reroll, click a swatch to copy its hex.TAKE COLORS FROM WHAT IS ALREADY THEREFrom an image reads an image fill in your selection and clusters its pixels. From the selection collects the colors already used in the selected layers, including gradient stops, ranked by how much of the artwork each one covers.PUT IT IN THE FILE, THREE WAYSSwatches on the canvas, for exploring.Fill the selection, for applying a palette to what you already drew.Create variables or paint styles, for a design system. Named by position, so a reroll never leaves you with a variable called blue holding an orange.CONTRASTSelect two layers, or one layer on a background, and get the ratio against all five WCAG thresholds at once. A ratio of 3.2 fails body text and passes large text, and one verdict would hide the case where the fix is the type size rather than the color.WHY THE COLORS LOOK CONSIDEREDEverything is built in OKLCH, a color space where equal numeric steps look like equal steps to the eye. In HSL a yellow and a blue can claim the same lightness while the yellow glares and the blue reads as nearly black. Extraction clusters in OKLab for the same reason: two greens you would read as one color can sit further apart in RGB than a green and a grey you would never confuse.PRIVACYThe manifest declares no network access at all, so the plugin cannot make a request even if it wanted to.
