Figma makes beautiful resumes. Figma's PDF export makes them unreadable to the software that screens them.Export a resume from Figma and open the PDF. It looks perfect. But Figma does not embed your font — it converts every glyph into a Type 3 font, a format capped at 256 glyphs. Past that cap your text spills into a second font, then a third, and consecutive letters of the same word end up in different ones. An applicant tracking system reading that sees a resume with holes in it.This plugin exports the same frame with the design untouched and a real, selectable text layer over it. Same 25 sentences: 25 recovered. 27 fragments instead of 400.HOW IT WORKSThe PDF contains Figma's own render of your frame at 4x, so the design is pixel-for-pixel what you drew — every gradient, shadow, image and effect. On top of it sits an invisible text layer built from real, embedded fonts. You see the design; software reads the text.WHAT IT HANDLES• Column-aware reading order, so a two-column resume is not read across the gutter• List bullets, re-attached — Figma omits them from its own export data• Your real hyperlinks, carried through as working links• Bold lead-ins kept with the sentences they introduce• Multi-page: select several frames, get one page eachFONTSFigma does not give plugins access to font files, so you supply the ones your frame uses. Drop them in and they are matched automatically by reading the font's name table, converted from OTF to TrueType if needed, and subset to just the characters your resume contains.If your frame uses a Google Font — Inter, Roboto, Lato and the rest of the library Figma serves — the panel says so and links straight to its download page. Figma streams those rather than installing them, so they are not in your font folders and there is no point looking there.Files are read in your browser and never leave your machine — the plugin makes no network requests at all.
