Design System Request Hub is a shared portal between Product Designers and the Design System team for managing component requests — like a Jira or Linear board, but scoped to your design system and living right inside Figma.Designers raise requests against specific components and states. Everyone sees every request (goodbye duplicates), can comment, upvote and follow. The Design System team triages, assigns and moves work through a clear status workflow: New → In Review → Planned → In Progress → Ready for QA → Completed.**For designers:**• Dashboard with search, filters, status badges and three views — cards, table and kanban• 4-step Create Request wizard: pick the design system (auto-detected from your enabled team libraries), pick the component (read from the file, searchable), pick states/variants (discovered from the component's variant properties), then add details — type, title, problem, solution, use case, priority, attachments and tags• Live duplicate detection while you type• Upvote, follow, comment with @mentions, and share requests**For the Design System team:**• Quick filters — New, Assigned to Me, In Progress, Completed, High Priority• Drag-and-drop kanban, assign owners, change priority and status, merge duplicates• Notifications for new, assigned and high-priority requests• DS Team Updates feed — announce new components and component updates to every designer, with previews and Figma reference linksRealtime multi-user sync via Supabase (optional) — or run fully local with Figma client storage when unconfigured. Light and dark themes with Figma-native styling.
