Icon Scaling Tool

About this plugin

Creating multiple sizes of icons is easy with the Microsoft Design Icon Scaling tool

With this plugin you can:

- Draw once and scale to multiple sizes with a single click

- Apply the Fluent Design System weight to icons, at the right sizes

- Check for naming, duplicates, and sizing errors with your icon sets before you export

- Correct errors on your Figma canvas and regenerate icon sizes with updates

- Inspect your icon in the tool to ensure it lands on the grid

- Ensure icons pass the even-odd fill rule and have non-zero winding with a built-in tool to correct

- Prepare your set for export as a .zip file that contains SVGs, PDFs, and a text description

Notes:

- We recommend that you start your icon design size at 24px for best results

- Icon layer names should follow the naming convention of Name / Size / Theme. For example, 'Folder / 24 / Regular'

- Using 'Thin' weight will apply a 1 px stroke to all icon sizes. 'Regular' weight will adhere to Fluent Design System rules for icons
