Mock Data Generator is a Figma plugin designed to enhance the design process within Figma by allowing designers to insert realistic mock text data directly into their designs. 

This plugin provides a wide range of data categories and types that can enable you to visualize how your design elements will appear when populated with actual data. 

By using this plugin, you can create more accurate, context-relevant prototypes, to improve the overall user experience and the efficiency of your design iterations.

How to Use the Plugin

1. Open the Plugin: Start by selecting the text layer in your Figma design that you want to replace with mock data. Then, open the Mock Data Generator plugin from the Figma plugin menu.

1. Select Category and Data Type: Use the dropdown menus to choose the category of data (e.g., Personal Identification, Professional Information) and then select the specific type of data you need (e.g., First Name, Email Address).

1. Insert Data: Click the "Replace Selected Text" button to insert the selected mock data into the chosen text layer. If successful, the plugin will notify you that the text has been replaced. If not, it will provide a message prompting you to make the necessary selections.

1. Review and Iterate: Review the design with the inserted data to ensure it meets your needs. Adjust categories and data types as necessary to simulate different user scenarios and refine your design.
