Sometimes we refer to it as dividing, splitting, separating, segmenting, or something similar.

  2. Real-Time Preview: Visualize your splits instantly within the plugin interface.
  3. Preserve Original Styling: Maintain the integrity of your design after splitting.
  4. Flexible Customization: Fine-tune with adjustable gutters and margins.

💡 How It Works

  1. Select any layer you want to split.
  2. Open the plugin and set your desired columns and rows. Fine-tune gutters and margins as needed.
  3. See your split in real-time inside plugin before applying.
  4. Click on Split Anything or use shortcut ⌘ + Enter (Mac) / Ctrl + Enter (Windows) to apply. Happy splitting!

🎨 Inspiration

I've been a huge fan of the Split Shape feature when designing in Sketch. After migrating to Figma, I discovered a similar plugin by Gaddafi Rusli, also called Split Shape. I've used it extensively, but sometimes faced issues with visualizing the split process and encountered occasional bugs. This inspired me to recreate the plugin while learning to code, aiming to add real-time preview functionality and ensure compatibility with various layer types.
