Data Kit empowers designers to quickly populate multiple text layers with realistic, randomized placeholder data- custom formatted to match your project’s needs. With a user-friendly interface and fast, one-click data insertion, Data Kit supports a wide range of data types and flexible formatting options to help you create polished mockups that look and feel authentic. Use Data Kit to streamline your workflow for tasks such as:

1. Rapid prototyping for presentations
2. Creating realistic UI mockups for usability testing
3. Filling dashboards and tables with believable sample data

How to Use Data Kit

1. Select your text layers - Choose one or more text layers in your Figma design that you want to fill with sample data.
2. Open Data Kit - Launch the Data Kit plugin from the Figma plugins menu.
3. Choose your data type - Pick from a variety of realistic data types (names, emails, addresses, dates, etc.) or define a custom list.
4. Customize formatting (optional) - Adjust data formatting options to suit your design requirements.
5. Populate your layers - Click "Insert Data" to instantly fill your selected text layers with randomized, realistic placeholder data.
